Description
Ecco una traduzione elegante e fluida, ideale per un annuncio immobiliare di prestigio o una rivista di design:
In a small hamlet just a short distance from the village of Peccioli—voted Borgo dei Borghi (Most Beautiful Village) in 2024—lies this Tuscan apartment with a private garden. A little gem of approximately 110 gross square meters, it has been brought back to life thanks to the passion for restoration and restyling of its owner, an internationally renowned set designer who found his buen retiro here. And as in every Tuscan property he has lived in, he worked his magic here as well: the spaces are furnished with unique, elegant pieces, and some walls have been painted with Tuscan hillside landscapes, creating a seamless spatial continuity between indoors and outdoors-
The Interiors: The apartment is located on the second floor of a village house divided into just two units. Upon entering, you are welcomed by a small hallway that leads to the living room, which is filled with natural light thanks to its double window and features a modern wood-burning fireplace. This leads to the eat-in kitchen, recently updated and complete with a nearby pantry; here, the decorated walls are the true centerpiece. This side of the apartment also hosts the spacious main bathroom, characterized by beautiful mosaics and equipped with a large bathtub and a walk-in shower. Beyond the living room lies the master bedroom, romantic and elegant in style, with hand-painted floral motifs on the walls. Returning to the hallway, you will find the second bedroom, where a staircase leads up to the attic floor; this space has been converted into an intimate lounge, complete with its own bathroom and storage room.
The winning choice to paint the ceiling beams white allows the light filtering through the windows to flood the spaces, making daily living incredibly pleasant. Each room is equipped with a hot/cold fan coil unit, which is particularly useful in summer and during the mid-seasons, when it is not yet time to turn on the natural gas heating.
But the surprises do not end here: from the mezzanine floor, a door opens onto the private terraced garden, split into two spacious levels. Here, idyllic corners have been created for spending precious hours: an outdoor table for romantic dinners, two rocking chairs for reading a good book, or sun loungers for relaxing. Colorful flowers, a small vegetable garden, and fruit trees (a fig, apricot, and apple tree…) make this peaceful haven even more enjoyable, with views stretching out over glimpses of the Tuscan countryside. From the garden, you can easily access the church park, where the incredible view of the Valdera opens up even further.
Finally, on the ground floor, there is a beautiful, spectacular tavern of about 30 square meters. It features high ceilings with terracotta tiles (mezzane) and the owner’s signature painted decoration on the back wall, echoing the theme found in the apartment. This room boasts a large, fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace, making it ideal for convivial moments with the many guests who will come to visit.
All the furniture shown is included in the sale, with the exception of the two paintings in the tavern and the Empire bed in the second bedroom.
The property can be reached on foot from the village, although it is also accessible by car, which can then be parked in the nearby public spaces.
Although small, the hamlet features a bar, a post office, and a grocery store, while the nearest supermarket is located right in Peccioli, just a few minutes’ drive away-
